The small village of Ilias Profítis(Προφήτης Ηλίας, Prophet Elijah) is a small summer resort created fresh and relaxing by the Italians, in the heart of a forest of Aleppo pines, cedars and cypress trees, populated by deer and deer on the mountain of the same name.
From the station, it remains today a hotel reminiscent of a mountain lodge and a few abandoned buildings - the last house on the left out of the village belonged to Mussolini.
Hiking
We leave easily tempted by a hike through one of the many trails leading into the forest or to the top of Mount Profitis Ilias .
An elegant hotel and a lodge called Elafos (Έλαφος) and Elafina (Έλαφινα) (deer and deer), have been built in the style of "Tyrolean chalet" first Albergo del Cervo in 1929, became Elafos and an appendix, Elafina in 1932.
