Afantou (Αφάντου) or Afandou means invisible, in fact, built in a valley, the village was invisible to hackers.

In its narrow streets you meet a museum, workshops handwoven rugs and many Greek tavernas.

There is also a wonderful pebble beach surrounded by crystal clear water.

Near the village and close to the beach is the church of Panagia i Katholiki (Our Lady the Catholic) built on the ruins of a Christian basilica older. It is decorated with frescoes of the thirteenth century and fourteenth century.

Further north is a golf course.

Afandou is located about 20 km from Rhodes .
