The Natural Park Majona is located in one of the wildest areas of the island of La Gomera. Two large ravines form the structure of this park, the steep terrain: Canyon Majona and of Juel descend from the heights of Enchereda and delineate the park.
The park has some geological interest: it has a very steep terrain, including deep canyons and cliffs.
The Natural Park Majona is in the eastern part of the island of La Gomera. It can be accessed freely from Las Casetas, halfway to the road that connects San Sebastián with Hermigua.
The park includes a variety of habitats, resulting in distinct vegetation. Thus, there are areas where the Canarian pine alongside the Aleppo pine, junipers juniper and wild olive trees, while in the ravines laurel grows.
Fauna
Among the fauna, note the presence of the African monarch butterfly or golden Danaid.
