The vegetation of the south zone includes several varieties of euphorbia and thistles. In the highest areas, especially there are junipers, wild olives, “Visnea cocanera”, “Maytenus senegalensis” and mastic trees.
At higher altitudes, we encounter high mountain species. Furthermore, wildlife is characterized by clean bird species in the Canary Pinewoods, such as the blue chaffinch of Teide, the woodpecker and sparrow hawks, among others.
