The entire area at the vertices is protected as part of the natural park Las Laderas de Santa Úrsula, Los Organos and the heights of the Valley of Güímar, an area of great ecological value. In geomorphological singularity of the site plus a vegetation Mirica faya and Erica arborea leaves gradually place Canarian pine and where laburnum and broom abound. Botanical endemic species abound, as an interesting wildlife.
Whole coast is in the natural area of Acantilados del Sauzal y Tacoronte that goes well beyond the two municipalities. The sea has carved these huge cliffs of great beauty that show the internal structure; they were born from the superposition of many lava flows. Alongside the numerous botanical endemic species found there, it is also a refuge and a nesting site for seabirds such as puffin English (Procellaria puffinus).
