The village of Novo Selo is at the top of a hill of 193 m altitude overhanging the Eastern coast of the island of Brač, with a splendid sight on the channel of Brač towards the solid mass of Biokovo.
The parish church of the Annunciation of the Happy Virgin Mary (Crkva Navještenja Marije STRIP CARTOONS), located at the top of the hill, in the center of the village of Novo Selo, underwent several rebuildings: the oldest oriental party, date of the 17th century; the central part of the 18th century; the frontage and the bell-tower of the 19th century (1894).
Of late creation (16th century), one thinks that the village was rested by refugees of the continent fleeing the Turks, like by inhabitants of other insular communities devastated by the epidemics.
