The massif of Teno formed by lava flows home to the village of Masca. This picturesque village, declared ethnographic and architectural site, is one of the best examples of natural architecture of the Canary Islands.
The region Masca is one of the most picturesque areas of Tenerife, northwestern summit is covered by mountains of Teno. This protected area, around, deep abysses mixed with a very green vegetation that can charm the most peaceful visitors.
The impressive beauty of this voluntary in nature are part of a framework where roads intersect and meander the paths leading to the most remote places; the road Buenavista north is a good example.
Masca is a paradise that enjoys a well deserved reputation as a refuge of pirates, this is part of beautiful legends about the islands.
