Bajamar is a coastal village located 3 km from Tejina, on the northeast coast of Tenerife.

It has all type of services, including showers and changing rooms. Thanks to their location centered, surrounded by diverse restaurants, pools are always very busy and enjoy a very pleasant family atmosphere. free you can swim. Only one entry fee is charged for the use of other services.

There are many bars and restaurants near the pools.

Beach The beach of the Arenal (Playa de El Arenal)
The beach of El Arenal, a beach of black sand or pebbles different times of year and the tides, is between Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo. To get there, you take the path from the main road up to the old Hotel Neptuno.

It is especially popular with surfers.

The swell is sometimes very strong throughout this coastal area: It is recommended to be careful.

Click to enlarge the image.The road to Bajamar continues along the coast to Punta del Hidalgo. The tourist village of fishermen and a small municipal pool of sea water located at Los Areniscos, whose entrance is free.

The coastline is characterized by its many coves and natural pools that fill with the tide, especially in the area of Las Furnias.

The part of the coast called El Buigo was arranged for camping. The beach of San Juan is located just down the coast. It’s a nice beach when the sea is calm.

From Punta del Hidalgo a hiking trail allows to reach the village of Los Batanes (also called El Batán) following a “levada”, that is to say, a small irrigation canal that brings water the mountain cultures of the valley.
