General presentationGeneral information
Far from all, Lastovo is only one large green and steep small island, still completely preserved. Because of its distance, it is a very autonomous territory, with an organized agriculture of original small structures: one says on the spot that Lastovo counts 46 agricultural small valleys, the same number of churches. , and as many satellite small islands.

Olive groves, vineyards and orchards divide tiny fields, while fishing supplements the incomes. There are practically no beaches, but beautiful sea-beds, the splits and the paths which are lost in the hills make of them a paradise for in love ones with calm and authentic nature.

Closed with tourism until 1989, because of its military base, Lastovo is not developed at all on the tourist level.
