The town of Sant Joan is a city of Mallorca, located in the central plain of the island ; the town of Sant Joan is part of the county of Pla de Mallorca.
After the reconquest of Mallorca from the Moors by Jaume I in 1229, the island was divided into several parts. The king kept the village of Sant Joan where is located the farm "Els Calderers".
