The Fred Olsen shipping company is a large landowner in the neighborhood of Santiago and has built the largest hotel on the island, Hotel Jardin Tecina on the heights.

The hotel is built into a cliff and inserted in beautiful flower gardens, with spectacular ocean views. The complex is 700 meters from the quiet fishing village of Playa de Santiago.
