Tafira is an exclusive residential area of Las Palmas. The English settled there when they arrived in the island of Gran Canaria.

Gran Canaria We can not leave without a full day at the Botanical Garden Tafira which is located in the barranco de Guiniguada. This garden also possesses many euphorbias and cacti from Africa and the Americas, a unique collection of Canarian flora All euphorbias, all (or almost) the Aeonium Canarian, excluding Limonium, Sonchus, Ceropegia, Echium and Dracaena...

In addition, a trail was built along the eastern side of the barranco to discover local flora in pleasant conditions.
